Living Labs

The successful formula of the MMT Campus as an innovation and transfer ecosystem for the healthcare industry includes six different living labs. These enable companies to test and trial their products in a clinical environment, working together with doctors and healthcare professionals. This means that healthcare innovations can enter clinical practice and the healthcare market quicker and more efficiently. There are many contextual laboratories, which have been through various cooperations or are currently being set up. The INSPIRE platform (Digital Health Development and Testing Platform Mannheim / Rhein-Neckar) plays a coordinating role and connects interested companies with the key partners involved.

The living labs include:

TEDIAS – Testing and development platform for digital patient recording systems such as sensors or anamnesis tools. Find out more here.

INSPIRE Living Lab – A hospital station that is used as a clinical trial environment for the testing and development of products. Find out more here.

ANIMMED – An application centre for intelligent machines in medical technology. Find out more here.

Hybrid-OP – This is located in CUBEX 41 and enables technology trials, including phantom testing. Find out more here.

M²AXI – The newly constructed Mannheim Medical Usability & User Experience Innovation Lab enables the testing of user friendliness. Contact: preetha.moorhty@medma.uni-heidelberg.de
